YIN YOGA and FARM TO TABLE DINNER
In celebration of the Winter Solstice, join Anna Vanuga at Root to Rise Gardens in Wilsall, MT on December 21, 2019. Indulge in a long Yin Yoga practice followed by an artfully prepared Farm-to-Table dinner.
Yin Yoga combines ancient wisdom from China and the classic Hatha yoga postures from India. The multiple tiers of this practice have a profound effect physically, emotionally, and energetically. During a Yin practice, you will hold postures with minimal muscular effort for several minutes. The key components of Yin are to utilize time and gravity to soften the physical body leading to the release of fascia (connective tissue encasing muscles), eventually creating a deeper range of flexibility. Yin Yoga’s passive and rejuvenating nature will leave you feeling refreshed and reawakened with a greater sense of buoyancy and mental clarity.
Winter Solstice is a time to gather and share light during the dark days. To reflect on past seasons with the support and embrace of loved ones, to fortify and encourage the evolution of our individual journeys. It is a time to share a warming, hearty meal, to laugh, and nurture the seeds we have planted throughout the year. To reinforce that even in the desolate, frozen months of winter there remains the light of nature’s wisdom and strength in community.
Dinner will be prepared by Leslie Witter with seasonal produce gathered from Root to Rise Gardens, Amalthia Farm, Cloud Nine Farms + other growers who make local, organic produce available during Montana’s long winter.
